About Battalion 2 Leather
Battalion 2 leather was started by accident. As A firefighter in south Florida I got tired of melting cheap nylon glove straps and wanted something that was going to hold up better. I searched and searched and finally found the glove strap I wanted, the only problem was I felt it was really expensive ( I can’t remember who made it.) So, I set out to make one myself. * Full Disclaimer- I’m the guy who wants to make something himself to save money, but usually spends more on materials and tools to accomplish what I should’ve just bought in the first place… I’m stubborn like that. So anyways, I bought the materials and realized I had enough left over to make some for my crew ( I was a LT at the time) and was like “well I can give them as Christmas presents!” During the process I learned I really enjoyed making them. I then spent some money on better leather and figured “why the hell not, i will make a radio strap for myself!” Which in turn, turned into more tools, more leather, and now co workers were asking if I could make them stuff. So, here we are, 4 to 5 years later… Battalion 2 Leather. Built for firefighting, inspired by the need to improve on things I found I loved or disliked with over 20yrs INTO THE JOB!
